Fünf gebogene Metallrohre ragen in unterschiedlicher Höhe aus dem Boden

Brunnenstubete

2006.2021, Klassik-Edition, Walter Hadorn (CH)

Curved metal pipes protrude from the ground along with a handwheel reminiscent of the mechanical opening and closing of watergates. These pipes lead to an underground water pipe. By placing your ear to the pipes, you can listen to the subterranean water flow.

The handwheel can be used to change the direction of the underground pipe. The sound tubes allow you to follow the accompanying changes in sound. The principle is similar to a stethoscope that can be used to listen to unknown depths.
